Pigmentation
Age spots and liver spots are very common examples of increased pigmentation. They are small flat dark coloured areas on the skin. They are very common in adults over the age of 50, but younger people can get them if they spend too much time in the sun.
Causes
This can be found anywhere but most often where the skin has had most exposure to the sun, for example on the face and hands.
