• Hair should be at least ¼ -½  inch in length (It should take approximately a week after shaving to get to this length).
• Do not drink caffeine or alcohol at least 4 hours before your appointment.
• Users of Retin-A, Renova, Differin or Accutane are advised not to have any waxing treatment in the areas where they are using these medications - as they tend to weaken the skin - and tearing may occur as the wax is being removed.
• If you are having waxing before your period; not only you are you more tender, hormones make the hair more coarse, therefore its possible that waxing may break the hair rather than it pulling them out.
• Do not apply any products to the skin for several hours before waxing.
• If possible, take a shower  just prior to your appointment. Hot water opens pores and allows hairs to be removed more easily, making the treatment less painful.
• Do not sunbathe or use a sun bed for 24 hours before or after waxing.
• You may take a painkiller 30-45 minutes before your appointment to minimise discomfort.
• Wear loose clothing and avoid sweating for at least 24 hours post waxing.
• Do not go into a hot tub or swim immediately after waxing, as heat, chlorine, and salt may irritate the treated areas.
